Job Description:

Responsible for performing operational and general accounting and supporting accounts payable in a team-based environment that supports the production manufacturing site. The position will be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements in transactional processes and for internal control compliance.

• Performs the monthly closing process and prepares required financial reports, analysis and account reconciliations.
• Executes the operational and general accounting close, including performing journal entries, analyzing and reconciling accounts.
• Performs accrual accounting.
• Ensure the plant follows GAAP and all financial policies/procedures.
• Assist with supporting (SOX) Sarbanes-Oxley compliance to ensure internal controls are functioning properly.
• Ability to identify, and initiate process improvements.
• Responsible for general accounting, and accruals.
• Required general accounting experience includes having had responsible for journal entries, accrual accounting, expense budgeting, and any experience with standard cost accounting is a plus
• Excellent skills using Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables, formulas, etc.,)

Report to the Controller, the team includes an Accounting & Cost Manager, a General Accountant and this Senior role.
