As a PhD Analytical Chemist, you will play a vital role in supporting process chemistry by providing analytical expertise in the development and optimization of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing processes. Your advanced analytical skills will be essential in ensuring the quality, purity, and safety of our products, as well as driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and yield.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques to characterize and monitor chemical reactions, intermediates, and final API products.
- Collaborate closely with process chemists to develop and optimize synthetic routes, ensuring efficient and scalable processes.
- Design and execute experiments to validate analytical methods, troubleshoot issues, and support process improvements.
- Analyze and interpret complex data to provide insights into reaction kinetics, impurity profiles, and critical quality attributes.
- Apply your expertise in spectroscopy, chromatography, and other analytical techniques to support API manufacturing projects.
- Contribute to regulatory filings by generating analytical data and documentation as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and regulations in analytical chemistry.
PhD in Analytical Chemistry or a related field and several years of experience.
Proven experience in supporting process chemistry and API manufacturing within the pharmaceutical industry.
Expertise in a wide range of analytical techniques, including spectroscopy (NMR, IR, UV-Vis), chromatography (HPLC, GC), and mass spectrometry.
Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions from complex datasets.
Familiarity with cGMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory requirements pertaining to analytical methods and data integrity.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a track record of contributing to process optimization and development.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
